The pod its pre-evolution resided in has now forged around Dolspin's entire lower-half! Now, in the shape of a cone, Dolspin can charge at opponents by spinning into them. This method of attack has proved very effective, so Dolspin will usually never leave its shell.

About The Design

Credits

Dolspin was created by Purrplecolored. Initally teased on January 13th, 2024. Officially revealed August 17th, 2024. Dolspin hasn't appeared in the comic.

Dolspin-Sundae was a reskin created by Purrplecolored avaliable in Purrplecolored's server's gacha during the month of December 2024. Officially revealed December 3rd, 2024. Dolspin-Sundae has not appeared in the comic.

Name Origin

Dolspin's name comes from the word "Dolphin" and "Spin".

Dolspin's Turkish name, "Dönen Yunus", literally translates to "Spinning Dolphin".

History

The current Dolspin doesn't look much like how it used to. It actually kept the same design all the way back when Pescapod was initally created, all the way until the refresh in August 2025. Behind Brownie, it is the longest I have kept a design for a Mythian without altering it drastically. However, it simply didn't look like a dolphin. Dolspin's old name was "Dolferd", and it was renamed to "Dolspin" late 2024.
