The glimmer on its back has started to solidify, forming sharp glass crystals on Priswaddle's back after it evolves. Funnily enough, these sharp edges are a really good defense mechanism, since it can seriously injure any predators that are only interested in the actually-edible parts of Priswaddle.

History

All of the Colorpillars have very similar histories, where they started as basic fakemon in 2019 and slowly morphed into what it is now. Priswaddle is one of my favourite designs, however. The sillyness of it and Venohusk's original designs always let me hold them at a special place in my heart, even though they weren't great designs. In August 2025, they got redesigned as well as got some new lore about shell reflectiveness or something. Priswaddle was originally called "Stolid" before the refresh (stone + solid, it used to be made of rock instead of glass), and all the way back in 2019 it was called "Kripe". Like with Colorpillar's original name, I have no idea where it came from.

Name Origin

Priswaddle's name is a combination of "Prism", referencing its reflective-ness and the light that shines through its core, and "Swaddle".

Priswaddle's Turkish name, "Tırcam", comes from "Tırtıl", meaning caterpillar, and "Cam" (/jahm/), meaning glass.
